Obligation 3

Good morning, 

I'm sorry for the late of my publication, I'm so tired when I come back in my room the night that was difficult to write something, but today it's my day off and I will have the time to write.

This article is a obligation of my business school with particular point, 
Enjoy ! 

I would like talk about the Egyptian Culture.

In the first part, I talk about the general culture, And in the second parts I talk about the business culture. 

I. General

The egyptian society is difficult at describe, 
It's a mixte between the old Egyptian culture and the occidental culture, adding religion. 
They are very proud of their old culture.
The Egyptian are very warm and friendly when you came in Egypte. 
They are very social, and anywhere if you need help ( same if he speak just some english word) they try to help you. 
For me I think the Egyptian people are very shopkeepers.


Tradition:

The religious fest follow the arabic calendar, and not the gregorian calendar, this last is more short.
The Egyptian are practitioners.
In the tradition you can discovers the Egyptian and all of these spicy, the wear who are created with the Egyptian coton, all the product handicraft,  many different jewelry.

National Holiday:

  • April 25: Anniversary of Sinai (restitution by Israel);
  • May 1: Labor Day;
  • 18 June: Republic Day;
  • 23 July: National Day, the four-day festival, Revolution anniversary;
  • October 6: Armed Forces Day, National Day public holiday marking the victory over Israel in 1973;
  • October 24: Day of Suez;
  • October: Rally of the Pharaohs;
  • October and February: Cultural festival of Abu Simbel;
  • November: commemoration of the discovery of pharaonic tombs;
  • December 23: Victory Day.
The Moulid20, fair mixture of religious holiday celebrating the birthday of a local saint, and result in a riot of colors, food, shows, blessings, public circumcisions.
habitude de vie:

  • International Film Festival (beginning of September)
  • Experimental Theatre Festival (September).

    II. business relation

    If you come in Egypt for business you need to know few point:

    1. Keeping classic clothing for an appointment
    2. You cannot be late, but a Egyptian can be late but he excused
    3. Accept the corporal contact, but not ever made the first move
    4. Take your times, the Egyptian like to speak about you and your family 
    5. Let the Egyptian speak of the business
    6. Express your feeling, the Egyptian are sensitive to it
    7. but no dramatized your feeling
    8. Be attentive and they will listen too 
    9. Have quick and short eyes contact


    Caution at few point, when a Egyptian speak:

    • They switch the "P" and the "B", they call that the little "b" and the big "b". It's very important because you can understand other words
    • They roll the letter "R" it's very difficult sometimes
    • They use many french words what you don't use in English
